An autologous platelet-derived formula containing growth factors intended to treat nonhealing wounds. It is provided through hospital-based outpatient facilities as part of comprehensive wound-care programs designed to treat patients with chronic nonhealing wounds. It is usually applied at first in the presence of a physician, with the patient continuing applications at home.

Procuren®. However as of 2002 this product is no longer marketed, autologous platelet gel being the preferred healing agent of this kind.

AutoloGel™ and SafeBlood® are two related but distinct autologous blood-derived preparations that can be prepared at the bedside for immediate application. Both AutoloGel™ and SafeBlood® have been specifically marketed for wound healing.
